Accessibility Statement

A-Power HVAC-R Supply Inc. is committed to digital accessibility for everyone visiting apower-hvac.com — including contractors and trade partners using assistive technology.

Effective Date: April 28, 2026

Our Commitment

A-Power HVAC-R Supply Inc. believes that the web should be open and usable for everyone. We work to align apower-hvac.com with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities and more user-friendly for everyone.

Conformance Status

We aim for WCAG 2.1 AA conformance across the Site. Conformance is reviewed when major design or content changes are made and on an ongoing improvement schedule. While we strive for full alignment, some content may not yet meet every criterion. We continue to test, fix and improve.

Accessibility Features on This Site

  • Keyboard navigation. All interactive elements (links, buttons, menus, form controls) are reachable and operable using a keyboard. A “Skip to main content” link appears on each page.
  • Visible focus. Focused elements display a high-contrast outline so keyboard users can track their position.
  • Semantic structure. Pages use proper landmarks (header, nav, main, footer) and a logical heading hierarchy to support screen readers.
  • Color and contrast. Body text and interactive elements are designed to meet or exceed the WCAG AA contrast ratios.
  • Image alternatives. Meaningful images include descriptive alt text; decorative images use empty alt attributes so screen readers can skip them.
  • Responsive design. Layouts adapt to desktop, tablet and mobile screens, and content remains usable when text is enlarged up to 200%.
  • ARIA labels. Icon-only controls (such as the mobile menu toggle) include accessible names so screen reader users know their purpose.
  • Forms and labels. Where forms are used, fields have visible labels associated with their inputs.

Tested Browsers & Assistive Technology

The Site is regularly tested in current versions of major browsers, including:

  • Google Chrome (desktop and mobile)
  • Mozilla Firefox
  • Apple Safari (macOS and iOS)
  • Microsoft Edge

We aim to support common assistive technologies such as screen readers (e.g., VoiceOver, NVDA, JAWS), zoom and magnification tools, voice navigation and operating-system accessibility features.

Known Limitations

Some third-party content embedded on the Site — such as map widgets or manufacturer documents — may not be fully accessible because they are produced by third parties. Where possible we provide an accessible alternative (for example, a plain-text address linked to a map service) or offer assistance by phone or email.

Ongoing Improvement

Accessibility is an ongoing effort. We periodically review new pages, update legacy templates, and incorporate feedback from users and contractor partners. When we discover content that does not meet our accessibility standards, we work to remediate it as quickly as we can.
